Your privacy is our priority. Gmail Contact Extractor ("the Extension") is designed with a "Privacy First" approach. This document explains what data we collect, how we use it, and where it is stored.

Summary: The Extension operates entirely locally on your device. We do not transmit, sell, or store your data on external servers.

2. Data Collection

The Extension processes the following information exclusively from the Gmail™ web interface when you open an email:

• Sender Information: Name, Email address.
• Signature Details: Phone numbers, Job titles, Company names, Website URLs, Physical addresses detected within the email body.
• Email Metadata: Timestamps of emails (to calculate response times and activity statistics).

How is this collected? The Extension scans the Document Object Model (DOM) of the emails you view to identify and parse contact information and signatures using pattern recognition algorithms.

3. Data Usage

The data collected is used solely for the core functionality of the Extension:

1. Contact Organization: To build a local address book of people you interact with.
2. Analytics: To generate local dashboards showing your email volume, top domains, and best response times.
3. Export: To allow you to download your contacts in CSV or VCF (vCard) formats.

4. Data Storage and Security

• Local Storage: All extracted data (contacts, statistics, settings) is stored locally in your browser's storage (chrome.storage.local).
